Erik Hermann is Affiliate Professor of Marketing at ESCP Business School.

He holds a PhD in Marketing and an LL.M. in European Business Law from the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. Before joining ESCP, he worked as Head of Marketing and Investor Relations at Deutsche Payment A1M SE, as a consultant for digital solutions at Mazars, and as a consultant for advertising policy at the German Advertising Federation, among other things.

His research focuses on consumer behavior and psychology as well as the ethical and socio-technical issues and implications of the development and deployment of artificial intelligence in marketing. His research has led to publications in leading marketing journals such as Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and Journal of Business Ethics.
